WHAT:
On Wednesday, September 27, 2023, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz will host the 17th annual City of Orlando’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration event to celebrate the diversity of cultures, traditions, achievements, contributions and rich history of the Hispanic and Latino community. During the event, the community can enjoy traditional Hispanic dishes, Latin music and entertainment.

Hispanic Heritage Month is observed each year in the city and throughout the country to recognize the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean. This year’s theme “Todos Somos, Somos Uno: We Are All, We Are One” highlights the wide range of cultures, ethnicities and perspectives in the Hispanic community and the power of the community’s diversity.

As a diverse, equitable and inclusive community, the city celebrates the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean all year long. The City of Orlando is proud to dedicate this month to Hispanic and Latino heritage and recognize the achievements of Hispanic champions who have inspired others with their advocacy.
