At 6 p.m. today, the City of Orlando activated the Emergency Operations Center to a Level 1 “full activation” for Hurricane Nicole.   

Effective immediately, all press inquiries must be sent directly to the Press Desk at the Emergency Operations Center. Additionally, effective immediately, all press updates and advisories will come from the Press Desk at the Emergency Operations Center.  

This desk will be manned every single hour during the City’s EOC activation with the sole responsibility of assisting news media.

Please ensure you add this contact information to your databases to ensure you receive all media updates that are issued. 

BE ADVISED – IF YOU CONTACT INDIVIDUAL CITY PRESS STAFF:  

During EOC activation, all PIOs will be working together to answer press inquiries from the EOC, because of this if you email or call individual City press contacts (i.e. City Press Secretary, City PIO, OPD PIOs, OFD PIO), you will not receive a response.
