Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, who represents Florida’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used social media to highlight his ongoing advocacy regarding immigration issues and calls for government accountability. The following summarizes a series of posts made by Frost between July 14 and July 15, 2025.

On July 14, 2025, Frost shared his experience touring the Everglades Detention Center. He described witnessing detainees chanting “libertad” — freedom, liberty. In the same post, he stated: “Floridians should be ashamed that our taxpayer money is being used for this stunt. We will keep fighting against attacks on immigrants — and we will be back.”

On July 15, 2025, Frost called for action from federal authorities regarding a violent incident involving an American citizen abroad. He posted: “I’m calling for the Department of State to launch a full investigation into the brutal murderer of American Citizen, Saifullah Kamel Musallet.”

Later that day, Frost reiterated his position on congressional oversight of detention facilities. He wrote: “Members of Congress have the legal right to tour detention centers to hold ICE accountable — and delivered the truth. That’s why I went to the Everglades Detention Center to see the conditions first-hand and demand answers for Central Floridians. The fight isn’t over — and I”

Maxwell Frost has served in Congress representing Florida’s 10th District since replacing Val Demings in 2023. Born in Orlando in 1997 and a graduate of Florida State University with a BS degree, Frost continues to reside in Orlando while advocating on behalf of his constituents.
