Downtown Orlando will host a weekend of arts, sports, and community events from February 6 to 8, 2026. The lineup includes the inaugural DTOLive Chalk Festival, IMMERSE’s Architects of Air luminarium, sporting events, and family-friendly activities.

The City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board and United Arts of Central Florida are organizing the first DTOLive Chalk Festival at City Hall Plaza on February 6–7. The event is free and will feature more than 30 artists creating large-scale chalk murals in both two- and three-dimensional formats. Visitors can also take part in interactive chalk zones, enjoy live entertainment, and participate in activities for families. According to organizers, “The festival aims to highlight artistic talent, increase downtown foot traffic, and celebrate the creative spirit that makes downtown Orlando a dynamic destination.”

Other major events include IMMERSE Fest’s new luminarium installation by Architects of Air artist Alan Parkinson at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts starting February 5. The Purple Pride 5K returns on February 7 with a route beginning on Church Street and ending inside Inter&Co Stadium; a post-race fan fest will follow. Kia Center will host Invasion Tropical on February 6 featuring several Latin music performers.

Sports fans can attend the Orlando Magic vs. Utah Jazz game on February 7 at Kia Center, with pre-game music and games outside the arena. Theatergoers can experience “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” through February 15 at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.

Additional community offerings include a historic district walking tour on February 6, Paws in the Park pet festival at Lake Eola Park on February 7 benefiting Pet Alliance, SWAG: The Art Experience celebrating Black History Month at ART²space on North Orange Avenue hosted by District 5 Commissioner Shan Rose, and the weekly Orlando Farmers Market at Lake Eola Park.

To support residents and visitors during these events, Orlando provides parking garages and surface lots near venues with real-time options available online through its official website (https://www.orlando.gov/). Programs such as Park DTO offer two hours of free on-street parking via ParkMobile app. Ride DTO provides $1 on-demand transit service throughout downtown areas. Other transportation choices include SunRail, LYMMO buses, scooters, and bike-friendly streets.

Orlando’s City Hall at 400 South Orange Avenue serves as the main location for city administrative offices and services (https://www.orlando.gov/).
