Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, who represents Florida’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has posted a series of messages on social media regarding the ongoing government shutdown and related political developments. Frost, who has served in Congress since 2023 after succeeding Val Demings, used his platform to address constituents and highlight his party’s actions during the shutdown.
On October 14, 2025, Frost wrote: “It’s week two of the Republican shutdown. House Democrats are here in D.C. to protect your healthcare and fight for federal workers. Where are House Republicans?”
The following day, on October 15, 2025, he invited Central Florida residents to a public event: “Central FL: Join me TOMORROW night for a town hall on the government shutdown. We’ll talk about what this means for our community, how we got here, and what’s at stake. RSVP at https://t.co/XUSaQ4lFqo https://t.co/JUp08qEAvm”
Later that same day, Frost addressed House leadership directly: “Speaker Johnson needs to swear-in @AdelitaForAZ now!”
Frost, born in Orlando in 1997 and a graduate of Florida State University, is one of the youngest members of Congress. He continues to reside in Orlando while serving his district. His recent posts come as Congress faces heightened scrutiny over the ongoing federal government shutdown, which has affected federal workers and public services nationwide.
