Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, who represents Florida’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of updates on social media addressing issues affecting his constituents. Frost, an Orlando native and graduate of Florida State University, used his platform to highlight concerns ranging from detention facility access to improvements in local passport services and airline safety.
On August 21, 2025, Frost reported challenges during a visit to a local detention center: “Yesterday, I returned to the Everglades Detention Facility to check on constituents and Floridians being held in this internment camp. I was unable to meet any of the people that I was set to meet with. It’s shameful — and I’ll keep working to get answers for Central FL”.
Later that day, he announced new developments for residents needing passport services: “Good news! Starting Summer 2027, you’ll be able to apply for your passport in-person at the new Orlando Passport Office. This is a game changer for Central and North Floridians who are unable to make the drive all the way to Miami to get the help they need!”.
On August 22, 2025, Frost addressed airline safety standards following discussions with union leaders: “Airlines have a responsibility to protect everyone on board. But for years, flight crews and passengers have been breathing toxic fumes and chemicals. Earlier this week, I met with local union leaders in the airline industry to discuss my Safe Air on Airplanes Act, which would”.
Frost began serving as U.S. Representative for Florida’s 10th District in 2023 after succeeding Val Demings. At age 26, he is among the youngest members of Congress and continues to reside in Orlando while focusing on issues pertinent to Central Florida.
