Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, representing Florida’s 10th district, has been vocal on social media about various pressing issues. Through a series of tweets, he addresses concerns regarding Medicaid expansion, gun violence, and potential cuts to Social Security and Medicaid.

On March 18, 2025, Congressman Frost highlighted the refusal of Florida to expand Medicaid. He noted that Florida is “one of just 10 states refusing to expand Medicaid—turning away federal dollars while millions struggle to access the care they need.” He also criticized former President Trump and House Republicans for proposing budget cuts that could affect Medicaid despite their claims of not touching it. “Florida is one of just 10 states refusing to expand Medicaid—turning away federal dollars while millions struggle to access the care they need. Meanwhile, Trump and House Republicans say they aren’t touching Medicaid but are pushing budget cuts that threaten it.”

The following day, March 19, 2025, Frost expressed concern over gun violence and its impact on families and children. He accused the Trump Administration of “erasing the truth about gun violence,” prioritizing firearms over public safety. He emphasized his commitment to addressing what he described as a public health crisis. “While families grieve and kids fear going to school, the Trump Administration is erasing the truth about gun violence—putting guns over people instead of addressing the #1 killer of kids and teens.”

On March 20, 2025, Congressman Frost addressed efforts by Donald Trump and Elon Musk to undermine Social Security and Medicaid in favor of tax breaks for the wealthy. He recounted his discussions with constituents at West Lakes regarding threats to these programs and his dedication to safeguarding them. “Trump and Musk’s scheme to discredit Social Security and Medicaid to justify cuts for tax breaks for the wealthy isn’t fooling anyone.”
