Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, who represents Florida’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used social media to address issues related to the ongoing government shutdown and its effects on military families and health care costs.
On October 17, 2025, Frost posted about the impact of the shutdown on military personnel, stating, “Right now, many members of the military aren’t getting paid because of the shutdown. I joined @SoldiersAngels at the Lake Baldwin VA to hand out food to veterans, service members, and military families. I’ll keep fighting to end this shutdown & stand up for Central Floridians.”
Later that same day, he addressed rising health insurance costs for families affected by the shutdown. He wrote, “Families are getting letters right now that their health insurance premiums are doubling, and for working people—this is life-changing. The fight to reopen the government and lower health care costs isn’t about politics. It’s about making sure everyone can afford the care they”.
On October 18, 2025, Frost called for legislative action with a direct message: “Mr. Speaker: Bring Congress back.”
Frost has served as a member of Congress since 2023 after succeeding Val Demings in representing Florida’s 10th district. Born in Orlando in 1997 and currently residing there, Frost is one of the youngest members serving in Congress at age 26. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
