Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, who represents Florida’s 10th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing issues ranging from cultural celebrations to state legislation and airline safety.
On September 15, 2025, Frost marked the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month by highlighting his heritage and role in Congress. In his post, he wrote, “Hispanic Heritage Month is a celebration of culture, history, and resilience. As one of the only Afro-Latinos in Congress, I’m proud to represent Central Florida and our strong Hispanic community! Happy Hispanic Heritage Month!” (September 15, 2025).
Later that day, Frost addressed concerns regarding recent changes to insurance laws in Florida. He stated, “Since Florida passed a law in 2023 forcing Citizens policyholders into arbitration, Floridians have lost nearly 100% of cases. This law unfairly targets families already priced out of insurance, squeezed by unaffordable housing costs, and displaced by disasters. I’m demanding” (September 15, 2025).
On September 16, Frost shifted focus to aviation safety with a legislative proposal aimed at protecting passengers and crew from toxic exposure during flights. He announced his new bill: “Airlines and plane manufacturers must keep passengers safe — but outdated systems are exposing flight crews and passengers to toxic chemicals. My bill, the Safe Air on Airplanes Act, will phase out bleed air systems and ensure everyone can fly without fear for their health.” (September 16, 2025).
Frost has represented Florida’s 10th District since replacing Val Demings in Congress in 2023. At age 26, he is among the younger members currently serving in the House; he was born in Orlando in 1997 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University.
