Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost, representing Florida’s 10th district since 2023, has taken to social media to share updates on recent activities and issues of concern. His posts address oversight of ICE detention centers, passport renewal events, and critiques of the current administration’s policies.

On May 12, Congressman Frost addressed concerns regarding access to ICE detention centers by members of Congress. He stated that “Looks like @Sec_Noem and @DHSgov need a reminder— Members of Congress have a LEGAL right to show up unannounced to ICE detention centers to conduct oversight & make sure they are following the law.” He mentioned collaborating with Representatives Escobar and Jason Crow in sending a letter to communicate this message clearly.

On May 13, he highlighted an upcoming event aimed at assisting travelers without Real ID. He posted that “Planning to travel abroad soon? Don’t have a Real ID and flying domestically? Apply for a new passport or renew it directly with the Department of State at our in-person Pop-Up Passport Day event on May 30!” The event offers individuals the opportunity to book appointments for obtaining or renewing passports.

Later on May 13, Frost criticized actions taken by former President Trump’s administration. In his post, he remarked that “100+ days in, and Trump has unleashed chaos on our country, attacking our fundamental rights and gutting vital social programs.” Despite these challenges, he affirmed his commitment to serving Central Floridians from D.C. to Orlando.
