The University of Central Florida’s No. 19 women’s tennis team was awarded a Big 12 victory on April 1 after No. 31 Oklahoma State forfeited their scheduled match due to an insufficient number of available players. The match had been set for April 5 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

The forfeit improves the Knights’ record to 15-3 overall and 8-2 in Big 12 conference play, while the Cowgirls fall to an overall record of 8-9 and a conference mark of 6-4.

Originally, UCF planned to hold senior celebrations before the Oklahoma State match. Due to the cancellation, these festivities have been rescheduled for Friday, April 2, ahead of the Knights’ home finale against Kansas State.

The change allows UCF’s seniors to be recognized during their last regular season home appearance. The Kansas State matchup will now serve as both a competitive fixture and a moment for celebration.
