The City of Orlando’s Community Redevelopment Agency announced on April 20 the release of three new affordable homes in Parramore as part of the third phase of its ongoing housing initiative.

The announcement marks a continued effort by city officials to increase homeownership opportunities and expand residential options for local residents. The homes will be available for sale starting May 1, with open houses scheduled every Saturday from May 2 through the end of the month, giving prospective buyers a chance to view the properties.

Each home is priced at $380,000. Qualified buyers may receive up to $155,000 in down payment assistance, and first responders are eligible for an additional $10,000. “This initiative reflects the city’s continued investment in Parramore and our commitment to creating attainable housing opportunities for residents,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “By expanding access to homeownership, we are helping build a stronger, more sustainable community.”

According to the official website, Orlando’s City Hall at 400 South Orange Avenue serves as the main hub for administrative offices and services. The city operates under a mayor-council structure with six council members serving four-year terms according to official information. Comprehensive services offered by Orlando cover all residents and businesses within its boundaries—including governance, infrastructure management, public safety efforts, and community development programs as reported by city officials.

Orlando also works with neighborhood groups and nonprofits through initiatives such as the Mayor’s Matching Grant program to promote local improvements and civic events according to official sources. The city’s municipal operations follow standard frameworks seen across other U.S. cities as described on its website.

The CRA indicated that more affordable homes are expected to become available later this year.
