The City of Orlando is now inviting applications for the 2025 Mayor’s City Academy. This program, which spans 12 weeks, offers residents a chance to gain insight into their city government. Participants will have the opportunity to tour facilities such as the Kia Center, Water Conserv II, and the OPD training facility. They will meet individuals responsible for various city operations, from those inspecting sanitary sewer lines to those shaping impactful policies.
The academy aims to provide participants with a deeper understanding of available resources and programs for city residents. Additionally, it highlights volunteer opportunities where participants can contribute meaningfully. The program includes dinner each week.
City of Orlando residents are encouraged to apply by Friday, June 27. The academy begins on Thursday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m., continuing every Thursday evening until November 6.
