Ride DTO, the on-demand transportation service in downtown Orlando, has reached its 50,000th ride. The milestone occurred during a busy weekend that included IMMERSE 2026 and various concerts, sporting events, and community gatherings.
Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer commented on the achievement: “Ride DTO has become part of daily life in downtown Orlando. Each of those 50,000 rides represents someone getting where they need to go — whether that’s to work, a local restaurant, a community event, or simply moving around downtown more easily. Programs like Ride DTO help us build a downtown that is easier to navigate, more welcoming, and better connected for everyone.”
Launched in 2024, Ride DTO has developed into a reliable option for transportation within the city center. It supports economic activity and contributes to the overall experience of being downtown.
David Barilla, Executive Director of the Downtown Development Board and Orlando Community Redevelopment Agency said: “Reaching 50,000 rides is a testament to the demand for reliable, affordable mobility in our urban core. Ride DTO is more than a ride, it’s an investment in the accessibility, energy and continued growth of downtown Orlando. We’re proud of the momentum and grateful to the riders who make this program a success.”
The service operates with Circuit vehicles within the designated downtown area and provides eco-friendly transit options for residents and visitors.
Circuit Partner Jason Bagley stated: “Ride DTO moving over 50,000 riders in an incredible achievement, but it’s more than just a number. It represents thousands of vital connections to workplaces, local businesses, homes, SunRail, and more. We’re incredibly proud to partner with the City of Orlando and the Orlando CRA to make getting around easier, safer, and more sustainable. Seeing Ride DTO become part of the daily rhythm of downtown Orlando shows how on-demand, electric micro transit can strengthen community connections and support local economic growth.”
The service runs daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with new users able to access their first three rides free using code RIDEDTO.
Orlando’s municipal government operates from City Hall at 400 South Orange Avenue as its administrative center (official website). The city seeks to provide comprehensive services such as public safety and urban planning while collaborating with community organizations through initiatives like the Mayor’s Matching Grant (official website).
