During the first quarter of 2026, South Orange Health and Rehabilitation Center was under the ownership of Orlando FL Holdco, LLC, as reported by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Situated in Orange County, the facility has operated under Orlando FL Holdco, LLC since Aug. 11, 2023.

The facility is classified as for-profit.

Over the same period, South Orange Health and Rehabilitation Center achieved a five-star overall CMS rating, surpassing Florida’s average of 3.3 for nursing homes. CMS bases these ratings on factors such as health inspection results, staff numbers, and the level of care provided to residents.

The data shows the nursing home averaged 105.8 residents per day, with 115 available beds, during the first quarter of 2026. The center is not affiliated with a hospital.

South Orange Health and Rehabilitation Center incurred $14,442 in two fines and faced two penalties within the first quarter of 2026.

Orange County, Florida had a total of 24 for-profit nursing home facilities during that time.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that the country’s older adult population is on the rise, while younger groups are declining. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans age 65 and over increased by 13%, as those under 18 dropped by 1.7%. The nation’s population of older adults has grown significantly over the past 100 years, rising from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million by 2024.

A 2021 analysis indicates that about half in this demographic—roughly 28 million people—may need long-term services and support, with over a third potentially requiring nursing home care in the future.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
