Today, the City of Orlando unveiled six new accessible adjustable-height basketball hoops at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center. The new hoops can adjust to heights ranging from six feet to 10 feet, for all ages to enjoy.
The new amenities were made possible thanks to a grant from Disney and the National Recreation and Parks Association.
These new hoops are part of the city’s continued investment in Orlando neighborhoods to enhance the quality of life and to further ensure residents of all ages, abilities and backgrounds have equitable access to amenities that make Orlando one of the best places in America to live, work and raise a family.
