In Orlando, hatred is not welcome. And love always wins.

Tonight we walked from City Hall to Shiloh Baptist Church of Orlando as part of our annual MLK candlelight march and interfaith celebration to honor Dr. King and his legacy and also showcase our community's collective commitment to inclusion.

Over the last few years, we've seen a rise in cruel rhetoric and even displays of hate. From elected officials and celebrities. On social media. And we even had a disgusting act of antisemitism in our community a few weeks ago.

But in Orlando, we know and we show that unity, kindness and compassion are our strengths. And that our work to create a welcoming community for all must and will continue.
