Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioners will be hosting the City of Orlando’s Hispanic Office for Local Assistance (HOLA) 20th Anniversary Celebration on Thursday, April 4, 2024. The event aims to honor the impactful work of HOLA in assisting residents like Itsia Delgado and her family in times of need.

Itsia Delgado, a city resident and HOLA client, shared her gratitude by expressing, "HOLA is part of my family now."

Since its establishment in 2004, HOLA has been a vital resource center, offering bilingual and culturally competent services to over 200,000 individuals from diverse backgrounds, connecting them with various government and community organizations for essential needs.

The anniversary celebration will also recognize the contributions of community partners like Delia Mercado from Second Harvest Food Bank and Peter Baez and Aixa Machuca from Eben-ezer Ministries, who have made significant impacts on the lives of city residents.

In addition to the anniversary celebration, HOLA will be hosting a Community Open House on Friday, April 19, 2024, to provide informational sessions and tours of its office, showcasing its pivotal role in fostering a diverse and inclusive community in Orlando.

The events will take place at Orlando City Hall and the Hispanic Office for Local Assistance, respectively, with media coverage coordinated by Luis M. Martinez for those interested in attending.

For further information about the events, media representatives can RSVP with Luis M. Martinez at 407.383.2073 or luis.martinez@orlando.gov.

The celebration and open house events are part of the city's continued efforts to ensure Orlando remains a welcoming and multicultural community for all its residents.
