In observance of Juneteenth, City Hall and non-essential city services will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Residential trash pick-up will occur as usual.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer will join City Commissioners, families of the victims, survivors, first responders, and the community for the annual Pulse Remembrance Ceremony. The ceremony allows the community to come together every year on the evening of June 12th to honor and remember the 49 individuals who lost their lives, their families, survivors, first responders, trauma teams, and all those impacted by the Pulse tragedy. Admission is free but a ticket is required to attend.

The event will be preceded by the ringing of 49 bells at 4 p.m. at First United Methodist Church Orlando.

"Out of respect for the victims’ families and survivors, we ask that any interviews be conducted outside of any venue space," including the church and Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
