The City of Orlando is inviting the community to participate in the Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee meetings scheduled for this week. The committee will meet for two consecutive days to discuss and recommend a conceptual design for a memorial honoring the 49 lives lost during the Pulse tragedy.
The committee comprises members representing victims' families, survivors, and other stakeholders. It was established to guide efforts to create a permanent memorial at the Pulse site and develop opportunities for input and engagement in both English and Spanish. The goal is to recommend a conceptual design by the end of this year.
Monthly meetings will continue through the end of the year. Families, survivors, and the broader community will have ongoing opportunities to provide input into the memorial's design through in-person community meetings and an online virtual space.
Meeting agendas, minutes, and updates are available at pulseorlando.org/committee.

- Wednesday, August 21, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
