Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and District 2 City Commissioner Tony Ortiz are set to host the 18th annual Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration on Thursday, October 3, 2024. The event aims to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, achievements, contributions, and history of the Hispanic and Latino community. Attendees can enjoy traditional Latin dishes, music, folk dances, and entertainment.
Hispanic Heritage Month is observed annually in Orlando and across the country to recognize U.S. residents with roots in Spain, Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. This year's theme is "Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together," which honors Hispanic trailblazers who have made significant contributions to their communities.
The City of Orlando expresses pride in dedicating this month to Hispanic heritage and recognizing pioneering individuals who have inspired others through advocacy.
