UCF women’s tennis has moved up to No. 18 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, as announced on April 7 following the team’s undefeated run at home this season.

The new ranking comes after UCF completed a perfect home slate and is now tied for first place in the conference title race alongside TCU and Arizona State, with all three teams holding 9-2 records in Big 12 play.

Over the weekend, UCF was awarded a win against Oklahoma State due to a forfeit and celebrated Senior Night with a decisive 4-1 victory over Kansas State. The Knights claimed the doubles point early with Jade Psonka and Vladislava Andreevskaya winning on court three, followed by Olivia Bergler and Lauren Seye clinching court two. In singles action, Marina Gatell delivered a dominant performance on court three, while Seye added another win on court six. Despite Kansas State earning one point after Andreevskaya retired due to injury, Psonka secured the overall victory for UCF with her match on court five.

The Knights’ success at home continues under head coach Bryan Koniecko, who has led the program since before the 2016-17 season. During his tenure, UCF has compiled a strong home record of 103 wins to just 24 losses.

Looking ahead, UCF will finish its regular season schedule on the road against Cincinnati on April 10 and West Virginia two days later as they aim to maintain their position atop the conference standings.
