The UCF women’s tennis team has been ranked No. 25 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings released Wednesday. This recognition follows the team’s performance at the ITA Kickoff Weekend held in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
During the weekend event, UCF faced then-No. 18 UCLA on Saturday, January 24. UCLA secured the doubles point with wins of 6-2 and 6-3, using that advantage to ultimately claim a 4-1 victory over the Knights.
On Sunday, UCF rebounded with a decisive 4-0 win against Marshall. The Knights earned an early lead by winning the doubles point and maintained their momentum in singles play with nearly simultaneous victories from Jantje Tilbuerger, Vladislava Andreevskaya, and Jade Psonka.
UCF is one of three Big 12 teams included in the top 25 of this week’s poll, joining No. 8 Oklahoma State and No. 22 Texas Tech. This marks the sixteenth consecutive week that UCF has appeared in the national top 25 since first debuting at No. 20 on February 12, 2025.
Looking ahead, UCF will travel to Tallahassee to face Florida State on Friday, January 30 as part of a three-game road trip across Florida. The team is scheduled to return home to play Florida Atlantic at the USTA National Campus on February 20.
