University of Central Florida issued the following announcement.
Kayaking Day Trip

Trip Location: Hontoon Island State Park and St. Johns River
Trip Cost: $10.00
Registration Opens: 10/26/2020
Registration Closes: 11/10/2020
Pretrip Date/time: 11/12/2020 @ 8 p.m. via Zoom
Trip Description: Spend a day kayaking over 10 miles through the twists and turns of the St. Johns River and surrounding creeks. We will start at Hontoon Island State Park and stop half way at Blue Spring State Park for lunch. If we’re lucky, we might get to eat lunch with some manatees as they make their way to the springhead for winter. This trip is long, but follows the creeks and river downstream. We recommend this trip for experienced paddlers.
What’s Included: All of our adventure trips include all necessary gear for the activity and professional guiding by OA Trip Leaders. Transportation is not included - participants must meet at the trip location.
What students should bring: Participants should wear athletic clothing, water shoes and bring personal water/snacks. Participants must wear a face covering.
