Orlando Standard

We are saddened by the news about the passing of Harvey L. Massey, a longtime friend to the Partnership and the Orlando region’s community.  

There are only so many people you meet in life that can light up a room and Harvey was one of those. He had the care and compassion to connect with everyone he could, no matter the title. Cities like Orlando benefit tremendously from civic-minded business owners and we all benefited from Harvey’s time and treasure.  As someone whose work contributed substantially to the economic prosperity of the region, we were honored to award Harvey the James B. Greene Award back in 2009. He believed deeply in the power of partnerships and advancing broad-based prosperity through his role as a member of the Governor’s Council. He was a role model, mentor and a friend to many of us.
