Mayor Dyer to update public on Hurricane Milton preparations

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is set to provide an update on the city's preparations for Hurricane Milton. The briefing will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2024, in the Sustainability Conference Room on the second floor of Orlando City Hall.

Joining Mayor Dyer are Orlando City Commissioners, Manuel Soto, the City of Orlando Emergency Manager; Lucy Phillip, a Public Works Engineer; and Jenise Osani, Deputy PIO of the Orlando Utilities Commission.

For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available at facebook.com/cityoforlando. Media personnel can park in reserved metered spaces along South Orange Avenue or in the City Commons Parking Garage.

The city encourages residents to stay informed about Hurricane Milton by visiting orlando.gov/storm for updates and information on sandbags, flood reporting, closures, and more.
