The City of Orlando is actively involved in efforts to manage hurricane debris following recent storms. Residents are encouraged to visit the city's storm debris page for guidance on how to handle and report debris.

In light of the upcoming general election on November 5th, citizens are urged to prepare for voting by researching candidates and issues. A significant decision facing Orange County voters is whether to continue a half-cent sales tax benefiting public schools. Scott Howatt, Chief Communications Officer for Orange County Public Schools (OCPS), presented a briefing on this proposed extension.

The city expressed gratitude towards its residents and staff for their preparedness and response during Hurricane Milton. The hurricane significantly affected areas, particularly along Florida's west coast.

A noteworthy item on today's agenda is an agreement involving the City of Orlando, Winter Park, and Orange County regarding the expansion of the Winter Park Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). This expansion aims to promote affordable housing, sustainability, and transportation safety projects. Mayor DeCiccio from Winter Park was acknowledged for her collaboration.

Additionally, funding announcements were made to support arts, cultural organizations, human services, and local businesses in Orlando. This initiative reflects the city's commitment to improving quality of life by investing in these vital sectors.

Representatives from these supported organizations were invited to stand during the announcement.
