12 p.m. - Mural Unveiling in Parramore

741 West Church Street 

Mayor Dyer will join District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill, the Parramore Main Street District, Wells Fargo, Art of Collab and the community to unveil three new murals in the Parramore District. Each mural celebrates the rich history and culture found in the Parramore community and are the final improvements completed thanks to funding awarded to the new main street district through the Wells Fargo Hope USA Campaign. 

 

1:15 p.m. - Rally for Collective Rights

City Hall Plaza, 400 South Orange Avenue 

Mayor Dyer will join District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, other local elected officials, and a coalition of progressive organizations to uphold Orlando's values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. This coalition is defending reproductive health, the right for private and public entities to train their employees on diversity, and LGBTQ+ youth.

6:00 pm - Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA) Golden Pineapple Awards

Orlando World Center Marriott, 8701 World Center Drive  

Mayor Dyer will join CFHLA President & CEO Robert Agrusa at the CFHLA Golden Pineapple awards to honor frontline lodging employees who best symbolize quality service in the Central Florida region.  

 

Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022

3:30 p.m. – Read Across America 2022

Reeves Terrace Neighborhood Center, 150 Mc Jordan Avenue

 

Mayor Dyer will join District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan to read to children at the Reeves Terrace Neighborhood Center in recognition of national Read Across America Day, an annual event aimed to get more kids excited and engaged in reading.
