The City of Orlando is organizing a recycling event allowing Central Florida residents to dispose of unwanted items conveniently. Scheduled for April 5, 2025, the event encourages participants to declutter old electronics and textiles from their vehicles, with city staff ready to assist.

Various items are eligible for recycling. Electronics such as monitors, televisions (limited to one per household), phones, and others are accepted. Textiles, including clothes, shoes, and curtains, are also welcome, as are soft plastics like grocery bags and bubble wrap.

"The City of Orlando is offering Central Florida residents the perfect opportunity to clean out their closets and clear out tech clutter," the official statement reads. The event is available to residents and businesses, with a restriction of one truck bed load per participant.

The event is set to take place at Festival Park, located at 2911 East Robinson Street, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Those interested in further details are directed to visit the website: orlando.gov/Events/Electronic-Waste-Textile-Recycling-Event-Festival-Park-2025.
