With American Rescue Plan Act funding, we're launching the RISE Employment & Training Program to help connect residents to career opportunities. The program, which we're partnering with CareerSource Central Florida on, will give residents who've been impacted economically by COVID-19 with access to job training, including from Valencia College - Accelerated Skills Training, and career support services.
I was honored to join Regina Hill District 5 Commissioner and so many partners, including Valencia College President Kathleen Plinske, to host U.S. Department of the Treasury Deputy Secretary Wally Adeyemo today in our city. Together we shared how we're using federal dollars to help residents gain skills and assistance that will help them thrive.
