Today we celebrated the launch of our RISE Employment & Training Program. Using American Rescue Plan funding from the federal government, City of Orlando - Government is partnering with CareerSource Central Florida to connect residents to employment and career training opportunities.
The mission of this program is simple. If residents are looking for work, they should be able to land a job that fits their experience and skills. If residents are seeking a job in a different field, they should have equitable access to training to get the skills required.
I was glad to join District 3 Commissioner: Robert F. Stuart and Regina Hill District 5 Commissioner and so many community partners to cut the ribbon on the program's West Colonial Drive office.
