Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and City Commissioners Celebrate the Grand Opening of the RISE Employment & Training Program Office in Partnership with CareerSource Central Florida
WHAT:
On Wednesday, June 1, 2022, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, City Commissioners, and CareerSource of Central Florida President & CEO Pamela Nabors will celebrate the grand opening of the RISE Employment & Training Program Office at an official ribbon cutting ceremony.
This new office will provide by-appointment, in-person assistance to connect residents to job training and employment opportunities and ensure Orlando’s residents have equitable access to opportunities for job training, coaching and support services to measurably increase their employability.
The opening of the office also allows for the full launch of the RISE Employment & Training Program, through a partnership with CareerSource Central Florida. As the region’s official workforce agency, CareerSource will offer program participants connections with the agency’s extensive system of employers, skills training partners and apprenticeship programs, as well as access to scholarships.
Residents interested in learning more about becoming a RISE Employment & Training Program participant can visit Orlando.gov/RISE and fill out an interest form.
