Mayor Dyer will join City Commissioners and the Orlando Police Department for the time-honored Change of Command ceremony to recognize the department’s new leadership under Chief Eric D. Smith. The Change of Command marks a pivotal moment in Orlando’s history, as Chief Eric D. Smith, is sworn in as the 40th City of Orlando Police Chief.

8 a.m. - The Florida Office of The Attorney General National Conference on Preventing Crime

Mayor Dyer will join Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody, Orlando Police Chief Eric D. Smith and Orange County Sheriff John W. Mina for the conference’s opening session to discuss the city’s efforts in crime reduction and agency collaboration to promote positive program alternatives for the community’s youth.
1 p.m. - LYNX Board of Directors Meeting
LYNX Central Station, 455 North Garland Avenue
Mayor Dyer will attend the LYNX board of directors meeting.
