In 1972, Art and Sybil Adkins opened Art's Sandwich Shop on South Orange Blossom Trail. Five decades has passed, but the shop continues to serve cheesesteaks and other favorites to its loyal customer base.
I loved joining District 6 Commissioner: Bakari F. Burns today at Art's to spend some time with Sybil, her son Michael and grandson Jeff as well as their staff. Together we celebrated the 50th anniversary of this iconic Orlando small business.
