City’s Downtown Development Board launches Park DTO to provide free parking at participating locations

Orlando, Florida – On May 15, the City of Orlando’s Downtown Development Board launched Park DTO, a new program that provides FREE parking and complimentary valet when visiting participating restaurants in downtown Orlando. The program provides convenient and greater access to all of the amenities in the downtown core, like exploring the city’s world-class venues, embarking on an exceptional dining experience and enjoying the vibrant art and cultural offerings.

The program aims to:

  • Support small businesses and ensure their success in downtown.
  • Improve parking accessibility for downtown patrons.
  • Encourage the preservation of downtown businesses by temporarily funding. parking fees, thus increasing customer experience and visitation.
The Park DTO program was developed as a strategic initiative of the Downtown Orlando Community Redevelopment Area Plan (DTOutlook). The DTOutlook plan recognizes the retention of small businesses as a crucial component for ensuring the success of the redevelopment within the Downtown Development Area. Additionally, DTOutlook highlights the importance of enhancing parking accessibility and exploring innovative solutions to optimize options for downtown patrons.

Participants can download the free ParkMobile app to find free parking downtown. Through this program, participants can receive up to two hours of parking at any on-street metered and non-metered spaces in downtown byusing the ParkMobile code: ParkDTO. This code can be used a maximum of four times per account. Promotion codes are valid 24 hours a day, seven days a week (on-street metered and non-metered parking is free after 6 p.m. Monday – Saturday, and free all day on Sunday). Any amount owed in excess of the validated time is the responsibility of the person parking.

The program also includes complimentary valet for customers at participating restaurants between 5:30 - 9 pm. For a list of restaurants, and more information about the Park DTO program, visit downtownorlando.com/parkdto. The program will run until December 31, 2023, or when funds run out.
