Seeking Photographers:
Submit Photos for the 2024 City of Orlando Historic Preservation Board Calendar
WHAT:
The City of Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board invites photographers to participate in the 2024 Historic Preservation Board Calendar and photography competition. This year, the Historic Preservation Board is seeking photographs that capture Orlando’s Lake Lawsona Historic District.
To continue to support historic preservation efforts, the city has produced the popular Historic Preservation Board Calendar since 1991 as a depiction of Orlando’s treasured historic resources and is currently seeking photographs for the 2024 calendar.
CALENDAR CONTEST SPECIFICS:
In order for photos to qualify, subject matter should be from structures that are at least 50 years old and be located in the Lake Lawsona Historic District. Encompassing the neighborhoods of Lawsona/Fern Creek and Thornton Park, the Lake Lawsona Historic District was established in 1994 as a local historic district. Developed between 1911 and the 1950s, the district contains approximately 500 buildings and is illustrative of the growth patterns of the city in the first half of this century with its mix of residential, educational and commercial structures. Submission subjects can be of individual details or an entire structure. Exterior or interior images of the subject will be accepted.
