Mayor Dyer will join Two Chic Beautique owners and staff to cut the ribbon and celebrate the grand opening of the newest women's beauty boutique in the Mills 50 District. Two Chic Beautique is a recipient of the city's Small Business Façade, Site Improvement and Adaptive Reuse Program, which aims to preserve history, contribute to the economic vitality by promoting small business and cultivate vibrant neighborhood business corridors.
5:30 p.m. - Black History Month Art Exhibition Opening Reception
CityArts, 39 South Magnolia Avenue
Mayor Dyer will join District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill, District 6 City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns, Downtown Arts District, Hannibal Square Heritage Center, and the community for the opening reception of the “Quilts, Photography, & Folk Art: Intergenerational Stories” art exhibition as part of celebrating Black History Month in the City of Orlando. The exhibition displays local folk artists, a Quilt exhibition by Crealdé School of Art, and photographs from Parramore Storytellers, which highlights Downtown Orlando's historically Black community.

Mayor Dyer will join District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan for the grand reopening and 50th anniversary celebration of Charlie's Bakery & Creamery. With the new addition of a creamery, this event highlights growth in the small business community.

Mayor Dyer will join District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan and Black Rooster Taqueria owners and staff to celebrate their new location in the Curry Ford West District. Black Rooster Taqueria is a recipient of the city's Business Assistance Program, a matching grant program designed to encourage small businesses to locate, expand or redevelop in the City of Orlando.

Mayor Dyer will join the Ginsburg Family Foundation to announce the award of grants totaling $40 million to local organizations focusing on diversity, equity and inclusion in the Central Florida community. As part of the event, Shawn Welcome, the City of Orlando’s Poet Laureate, will present a poem on a similar theme.

Krave'n Joy is a recipient of the city's Business Assistance Program, a matching grant program designed to encourage small businesses to locate, expand or redevelop in the City of Orlando.
