Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings are set to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Orange County Regional History Center for the "Orlando Collected" exhibition on April 11, 2025. This event is part of Orlando’s 150th anniversary celebrations featuring 150 curated objects showcasing the city's history, which will be on display until January 11, 2026.

Orlando's sesquicentennial celebration began on February 4, 2025, with a launch at City Commons Plaza, where a commemorative banner was unveiled by Mayor Dyer, city officials, and community partners. A significant citywide celebration is scheduled for July 31, 2025, marking Orlando's official birthday. Highlight events include citywide service activities and free access to Leu Gardens and the Mennello Museum of American Art.

In addition to "Orlando Collected," a public art exhibition, "Changing Face of Orlando: A Sesquicentennial Celebration," will present historical photographs alongside modern counterparts, demonstrating the city's evolution. The City of Orlando encourages community involvement through hosting events, sharing stories on social media, and contributing photos to a digital history board.
