9 a.m. - Bring Kindness to the Table

Mayor Dyer will join District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, One Orlando Alliance and Downtown Arts District to unveil the Bring Kindness to the Table project and kick off 49 Days of Acts of Love and Kindness.
Bring Kindness to the Table is a collaborative art and placemaking project meant to bring eye-catching pieces of locally painted art to spread messages of love, hope and kindness. In addition to the unveiling, 49 Days of Acts of Love and Kindness will kick off through a community clean up in partnership with Keep Orlando Beautiful.

9 a.m. - Boone Avenue Roadway Extension Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Intersection at Boone Avenue and Anderson Street South of 460 Boone Avenue
Mayor Dyer will join District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill, Florida Department of Transportation Director of Operations John Tyler, and other transportation leaders to cut the ribbon on the Boone Avenue Roadway Extension. This extension project improves accessibility and connectivity to downtown Orlando from Hughey Avenue, Gore Street and the greater SoDo Main Street district.
12:15 p.m. – American Rescue Plan Advancing Workforce Development Roundtable with Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Wally Adeyemo
Valencia Center for Accelerated Training, 400 Pittman Street
Mayor Dyer will join the Deputy Secretary of the U.S. Treasury Wally Adeyemo, Valencia College President Kathleen Plinske, and other business and community leaders for a roundtable discussion on how the City of Orlando is using funds from the American Rescue Plan Act to launch the new RISE Employment & Training Program. The program will provide new career opportunities for residents and help meet the workforce needs of the region’s business community.
The roundtable discussion will be followed by a press availability with roundtable participants.

10:30 a.m. - Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center Ribbon Cutting
Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center, 800 Grand Street
Mayor Dyer will join District 6 City Commissioner Bakari F. Burns and District 5 City Commissioner Regina I. Hill to cut the ribbon to celebrate the grand opening of the Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center.
Located in the Holden Heights community, the new neighborhood center features a gymnasium, the new location for the Orlando Pottery Studio and supports the expansion of City youth programs.

9 a.m. - The Association for Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) XPONENTIAL 2022 Conference

Mayor Dyer will greet attendees of the AUVSI XPONENTIAL 2022 Conference, sharing how the City of Orlando is advancing autonomous innovations in technology, transportation and mobility options.
AUVSI is the world's largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of uncrewed systems and robotics, represents corporations and professionals from more than 60 countries involved in industry, government and academia. The 2022 XPONENTIAL Conference, taking place April 25-28, will bring together an estimated 8,000 technologists, users, policy makers and strategists from more than 20 industries for the largest, most comprehensive trade show for uncrewed and autonomous systems.
