This #EconDevWeek22, we're promoting the value and impact economic development brings to our communities as well as the professionals responsible for driving investment into our region.

Orlando Economic Partnership Senior Director of Business Development Tracy Turk has dedicated 27 years of service to developing our region's economy. Here's how she reflects on her storied career:

"I have always enjoyed the camaraderie of my fellow ED professionals but, more so, I enjoy working with companies to identify a need, find a solution, connect them to resources and create an environment that allows them to generate much needed jobs for our community. I find business owners to be proud, genuine, sincere and just overall nice people to work with.

The industry itself is constantly evolving and changing. What was a phenomenon 10 years ago may no longer exist, so we are constantly learning and adapting. Technology has made our job more globally visible and easier, providing us with the ability to make things happen at a more rapid pace…the speed business needs to move.

It’s fulfilling to help diversify your community’s economy and see the transformation, in addition to watching the many companies I've been engaged with be successful and create jobs that provide a path to more resilient careers for our region's residents."

Thank you, Tracy, for your passion and dedication to growing the Orlando region.
