Chief Eric Smith is trustworthy, knows how to get things done and loves being a part of our community. I am confident that his commitment to working with residents and Orlando Police Department officers will help keep our city safe.
Chief Smith is a UCF alum who's spent the last eight years as an OPD deputy chief. I was honored to swear him in as department's 40th Chief today.
I look forward to working with Chief Smith in his new role. And I am committed to supporting him and the entire department as we work together to serve our great city.
