In observance of Juneteenth, City Hall and non-essential city services will be closed on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Residential trash pick-up will proceed as usual.
The City of Orlando and Senator Geraldine F. Thompson invite the community to the third annual Juneteenth Celebration at Camping World Stadium. Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865. The event aims to celebrate civil rights progress, recognize the injustices Black Americans have endured, and continue efforts to create a more inclusive city.
This annual event is part of Orlando’s ongoing commitment to fostering an equitable and welcoming community where all residents are equally protected and have access to opportunities that help them thrive.
The festival will feature free activities for families, including live music, food vendors, and entertainment. The event is organized by the City of Orlando's Office of Multicultural Affairs.
