"We do not take this decision lightly," stated officials, emphasizing their commitment to community safety.

Originally scheduled discussions included the second reading of the Dallas Blvd annexation. However, focus shifted to resolving issues related to the Sunbridge Annexation through an Interlocal Agreement with Orange County. This agreement aims to address regional challenges such as homelessness and venue investment while balancing shared priorities between city and county.

Plans are underway for additional overnight homeless shelter beds, with potential sites being evaluated for accessibility and service proximity. The agreement also supports funding advancements for Kia Center and Camping World Stadium, crucial economic venues in the region.

The city's growth strategy involves collaboration with Orange County to manage development responsibly as population projections indicate significant increases by 2050. Officials expressed gratitude towards Mayor Demings for his leadership in these efforts.
